Living Love

Aug 24, 2022 by James A. Cusumano

In this challenging world of global pandemics, accelerating climate change, terror and war, nuclear proliferation, and civil unrest, it is easy to lose sight of who we really are and the power within us to create abundance for others and ourselves. It all comes down to living our lives through love in all that we do.

Although “living love” clearly embraces romantic relationships, it also encompasses the means for creating a fulfilling life. Below for your consideration, I share thoughts on this subject from my friend, Deepak Chopra.

“Saying ‘I love you,’ is one of the most emotional expressions in any language. However, ‘I live love,’ is seldom expressed. Yet, living from love is who and what we really are. At the core of your being, you are pure awareness, creativity, spirit, and love. And, when you experience love in all its aspects, you experience yourself as a spirit, one who feels—and is—love.

An Indian Sage once said to his followers, ‘Life is love, and love is life.’ What keeps the body together but love. What is desire but love of self, and what is knowledge but love of truth.

The means and forms may be right or wrong, but the motive behind them is always love—love of the ‘me’ and the ‘my,’ or of the ‘thee’ and the ‘thy.’

The ‘me’ and the ‘my,’ or the ‘thee’ and ‘thy’ may be small or may explode and embrace the whole universe, but love remains.

Love is the most powerful force in the universe. Used in a positive way, it can heal and inspire and bring us closer to our higher self.

Love is an eternal never-ending gift to ourselves and to others, and when we truly experience love, we find ourselves. Like a tiny spark that can ignite a blaze that can consume a vast forest, a spark of love is all it takes to experience love’s full force in all its aspects—earthly and divine.

The practice of living love exemplifies and accesses the unlimited abundance of the universe.

No matter how many people you love—yourself, family, colleagues, the world; you can never run out of love because at the core of your being you’re pure love.

In ancient India, the ecstasy of love was called Ananda or bliss consciousness. The ancient seers held that we are meant to partake of this Ananda at all times.

Living our lives for the greater good helps us realize our spirit’s true nature—Sat, Chit, Ananda—existence, consciousness, bliss.

Living from love attracts more goodness to you. Therefore, to experience true abundance in your life, live the love that you were born to be, the love that you are, and watch your life flourish in all ways.

Practice living love today by simply offering a kind word or thought to those you meet along your way, recognizing that the greatest gift that you can give to anyone is love.”
